Corecom Consulting has been successfully shortlisted for ‘Best Tech Recruiter’ at the UK Business Tech Awards 2023.
Demonstrating strong headcount and turnover growth over the last couple of years, Corecom has received the shortlist for being one of the best technology recruiters in the UK. Steering in the direction of another momentous year, and with further increases in headcount, productivity and turnover anticipated for the next 12 months, plus new market expansions, Corecom has wowed the judges with its multiple achievements.
Corecom has been commended for focusing on what they do, rather than how they do it and leading with its values, which centre on well-being, empowerment, equality, awareness, and collaboration.
Using the support provided to Crisp Consulting as an example. Corecom was also acknowledged for its approach to sourcing and placing 20+ candidates with the company, who had struggled to fill key technology vacancies for over a year, across Software Development, Software Testing, Business Analysis, Data and Product.
Jonathan Sanderson, Managing Director at Corecom Consulting said:
“I speak for the whole Corecom team when I extend our gratitude for this award shortlist. As a recruiter in the technology industry, we have recognised that the responsibility lays with us to help turn the tide and widen out our talent pool to draw on the rich experiences, creativity and passion that a diverse workforce brings. We know that diverse teams bring wellbeing, fulfilment and new ways of thinking – and this, in turn, brings greater economic return and stability.
“We are practicing what we wanted to preach. Diversity, inclusion and wellbeing are the cornerstones of our business. Women make up over 40% of our workforce, Diversity & Inclusion ambassadors lead the way on challenging and educating and we have a super strong Women in Technology (WIT) team operating to showcase the amazing contributions that women make in the sector. Our approach has won us the Investors in People Platinum mark – an accolade only achieved by 2% of organisations globally.
“One of our core values is “Share our Success” and we are firm believers in using our platform to give back to the industries we operate in and the wider community. Working from the inside out, we carry a portfolio of work to constantly challenge and push the sector, whilst also raising and realising aspirations so it’s a real honour to be recognised for this.”
Some of Corecom’s recent achievements, that have led to the award shortlist, include:
D&I advice, training and mentoring: Ambassadors Dom Brown and Aishia Ullah have driven the team to advocate D&I and Women in Tech, providing extensive advice, training, and mentoring opportunities to clients. This has raised confidence, aspirations, skills and opportunities within the STEM community.
Community support: providing continuous support to charity partners, including Candlelighters, Leeds and Bradford Community Foundation Trust 100 Club and Moonlight Trust. Managing Director, Jonathan Sanderson, has been working with Migration Yorkshire to design and deliver a series of employment workshops to migrants arriving in Harrogate from the Ukraine and HongKong, supporting refugees/new arrivals on their journey into training and work by raising confidence and aspirations and navigating the UK recruitment process.
Cost of living support for employees: recognising that employee well-being is very important and aware of the cost-of-living crisis and its impact on employees, Corecom has given £25,000 tohelp alleviate financial pressures across the team.
