At 2Simple, we strive to secure a strong reputation as a provider of high-quality educational software that positively impacts and supports all users with innovation and creativity being at the core of what we produce. That is why we are honoured to be shortlisted for the UK Business Tech Award for EdTech Company of the Year.

We care deeply about education and are passionate about having a positive impact on the lives of both children and teachers.

Our primary platform, Purple Mash, includes over 9,000 ready-made resources and 47 applications and tools all offering comprehensive support materials for teachers.

Mary Farmer, classroom teacher at Cedars Primary School says Purple Mash:

“I personally think Purple Mash from 2Simple is one of, if not, THE BEST resource out there for teachers. Simple to use but can be extended for the more confident. Even more brilliant is the team that work for/with 2Simple who are always available not only to help teachers with their questions, listen to what they need but they will then work to create resources to meet these wishes. 2Simple are active and available on social media both in and out of office hours which make them one darn amazing company! Their reputation is that of a company that cares for their customers…a reputation they rightfully deserve!”

With Purple Mash, this has given us at 2Simple the chance to offer amazing competitions. Our well know Festive Card Competition has now been running for over 5 years. With over 12,000 cards entered every winter, we select our winners and they become the official 2Simple festive card. This year we held our first ever in-person Games Design Competition where teams designed a computer game linked to the theme of online safety. We received over 100 entries and finalists were invited to London to pitch their game to a panel of industry experts at Amazon’s UK headquarters.

Barry Bolton from Staines Preparatory School said:

“We had a great time [travelling to London] and speaking to people in the industry. This really inspired the children. The competition was a great one as it worked on very different skillsets of children so enabled those who wouldn’t normally enter such competitions to take part. On a personal level, I enjoyed talking to the 2Simple staff as we found out a lot about new products and current products which will help us moving forwards.”

Our newest platform, Dot Com Digital, has safeguarding at the core of the product. Dot Com Digital offers a safe environment for children to develop the skills to lead to a safe and happy life. The resource aims to prevent children from becoming victims of online grooming, radicalisation, exploitation and bullying by giving them the confidence and skills to recognise warning signs.

Education cannot happen without educators and teachers and that is why we always ensure that we go above and beyond with our service and support. With webinars, support groups, teacher panels and free resources, we ensure that we can offer teachers a helping hand wherever we can. We are aware that teaching is a stressful job and it’s important that teachers look after their mental health, which is why we support innovative projects such as EduFootyAid. This is a charitable football league that aims to bring teachers together and promote wellbeing, all whilst raising money for mental health charity Mind.

We look forward to the awards ceremony and meeting our fellow finalists on October 20th.
