Velstar Named eCommerce Tech Company of the Year

Velstar has won eCommerce Tech Company of the Year at the UK Business Tech Awards 2026.

The UK Business Tech Awards were presented at a gala dinner and ceremony on Thursday 9 July 2026 at the London Hilton Paddington, bringing together some of the most innovative businesses and technology teams across the UK. Velstar’s directors, Greg Hughes and John Young, attended the night to collect the award on behalf of the business. 

The judging panel had this to say about Velstar:

“Velstar is an innovative company positioned in a premium B2B niche with a growing Shopify footprint. It demonstrates impressive commercial performance, including strong year-on-year growth, a solid revenue run rate, and significant new client acquisition supported by a high pipeline conversion rate. The acquisition of complementary businesses to build an end-to-end lifecycle partner model is a clear strategic differentiator from other Shopify agencies.” 

Commenting on the success, Velstar’s Client Experience Director, John Young, said:

“Winning eCommerce Tech Company of the Year is a fantastic recognition of where Velstar is as a business right now. The judges’ comments reflect exactly what we have been building towards: a company that goes above and beyond for our clients.
