Investigations are happening everywhere, from sport to government, healthcare to energy, and law enforcement to retail.

In a digitalised world, detecting wrongdoing and safeguarding integrity has become an ever-greater challenge, with technology opening new backdoors for exploitation. At the same time, organisations across all sectors are held to higher standards of accountability and integrity today than ever before.

Providing a single application to manage complex investigations, Clue’s mission is to lead the digitalisation of intelligence and investigations. We are delighted that our technology has been shortlisted for the UK Business Tech Awards’ Tech for Good Award.

The digitalisation of investigations

Clue’s market-leading investigation and intelligence software is used globally by governments, police, private and non-profit sectors to tackle issues of corruption, wildlife crime, human trafficking, safeguarding, and fraud among other use cases.

Among our prestigious userbase are City of London Police, Amazon, Oxfam International, NHS Counter Fraud Authority, British Council, Department for Education, International Tennis Integrity Agency, Esport Integrity Coalition, League Against Cruel Sports and Home Office.

Our application enables these users to manage intelligence and investigations from first report to prosecution.

We have built Clue to provide a solution to some of the most shared challenges faced by intelligence and investigations teams today, including optimising intelligence from growing data volumes, sharing data securely, identifying threats early, and ensuring robust cases through compliance.

Connecting a community

Beyond the provision of technology, Clue is bringing a community of like-minded investigations teams and professionals together to share ideas and intelligence: “One of the most exciting aspects of Clue is the community we have created,” said Clue CEO, Clare Elford.

“We are realising that a lot of Clue’s users aren’t really buying a SaaS platform, they’re joining a community of digital investigators doing amazing work in diverse sectors across the world.

“As organisations and industries are held to greater standards of accountability and integrity, digital investigations are playing an important and growing role – all our users can and want to learn from one another; they want to share ideas and see how their peers are using Clue. We are in a fortunate position to be able to facilitate these conversations and help to empower them on the frontline.”

Following Series A investment in 2021, Clue has entered an exciting period of growth as a scaleup. We are committed to leading in digitalising investigations and supporting an increasingly diverse range of organisations create safer environments and drive better outcomes for victims around the world.
