We are delighted to see our “Haust Network: Blockchain ecosystem development with Layer-2 zk-Rollups” project shortlisted for the Fintech Solution award. We started boldly in 2024 with an idea that sounded almost too ambitious: making DeFi accessible without asking users to become blockchain experts first.
Who We Are
Innowise & Haust Labs is a partnership behind Haust Network — an EVM-compatible blockchain specifically designed for micropayment solutions and gas-intensive smart contracts.
Innowise, the project’s technology partner, is a software development firm that backs initiatives through outsourcing and staff augmentation services. Its 3,500-strong talent pool includes specialists in niche fields such as blockchain, machine learning, and data engineering. Among the 100+ solutions delivered within Innowise’s finance hub, Haust stands out for its scope and ambition, representing a large-scale DeFi ecosystem rather than just a blockchain solution.
In 2025, we introduced the Haust Network, wallet, lending protocol, and DEX. Since then, the ecosystem has continued to grow, adding new assets, integrations, and a grant program for developers interested in building on top of it.
Problem Solved
Despite offering unprecedented control and transparency, decentralized finance still feels more like infrastructure than a consumer product. To lend, swap, or earn yield, you need to understand private keys and gas fees, manage multiple networks, and compare liquidity routes, approving transaction after transaction.
Imagine ordering dinner and being told you first need to grow the wheat, raise the chicken, and build the oven. That is still what DeFi feels like for many users today.
Naturally, this limits mass adoption. Together with Haust, we set out to change that.
What Changes for Users
Haust Network makes DeFi feel like a familiar financial application by abstracting away technical complexity.
Instead of managing assets across several chains and interfaces, users can access them from a single screen. Rather than manually searching for the best swap routes, they can rely on HAIA — an AI agent that understands natural language and helps users manage their crypto activities through simple chat commands.
Features such as Account Abstraction help hide much of the operational overhead behind crypto wallets, making interactions with DeFi feel closer to using a conventional financial app. No need to install MetaMask or browse multiple DEX websites: users can access key DeFi features through the Telegram mini app.
This positions Haust as a unified entry point into DeFi, aiming to make Web3 interactions feel closer to mainstream fintech experiences.
Haust Under the Hood
HAUST is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 blockchain built on Polygon zkEVM, leveraging zk-rollup technology to improve scalability and reduce fees while maintaining Ethereum-level security.
On top of the network, Innowise helped develop key components of the ecosystem, including a DEX, a lending protocol, a wallet supporting Account Abstraction, and Haustoria — a system that automatically allocates user assets across external DeFi protocols to generate yield. The architecture combines smart contracts with backend services responsible for rebalancing and strategy optimization.
Nomination that Matters
A nomination at the UK Business Tech Awards proves that we’re on the right track. It means that an idea that once looked almost like a stretch goal — building something that feels less like a collection of DeFi tools and more like an operating system for decentralized finance — is beginning to resonate beyond our own team.
We’re nominated, so more people will discover both Innowise and Haust, helping raise awareness and support future ecosystem growth.
For Innowise, projects like Haust showcase how deep engineering expertise can help shape the next generation of financial products, and this recognition reinforces that commitment.
