Here at Quintessence, we’re thrilled to be Prop Tech Company of the Year finalists at the UK Business Tech Awards.

We’ve been creating interactive touch-screen experiences that help property developers sell homes since 2009, delivering over 125 successful projects across the UK and beyond. We were nominated for the award for the recent work we’ve delivered for core property clients, including interactive sales-enablement presentations, immersive 3D virtual experiences and architectural model lighting integrations.

About Quintessence

Croydon-based Quintessence was founded by tech innovator Rob Bosher, when he recognised how interactive technology could enhance property marketing suites and make selling homes easier for agents. Creating a completely new way for property businesses to engage with customers, we’re still programming tailor-made interactive experiences, showcased on multi-touch screens, thirteen years later.

Initially working with talented model makers to create interactive presentations on tablets, the clear business benefits quickly caught on. The tablets were connected to the physical model through a lighting controller and, using the interactive presentation software we created, model lighting ability was programmed. You could say this was our literal lightbulb moment! To this day, apartment-finder illumination remains a hugely popular feature for both our clients and their customers.

Times have changed over the years; from simple and effective site-plan presentations to large format and video wall presentations offering complete, immersive experiences. Fast-forward to 2022 and our award-winning team is continuing to grow too. We’re working with model makers, suite builders, marketing agencies, design agencies, property developers and sales agents to transform marketing suites – giving them the sales enablement tools that are no longer a luxury, but a necessity.

The Inspiration Behind Our Entry

Between April 2021 and July 2022, we successfully installed 15 interactives in property marketing suites for clients including Peabody, Latimer, Hill, NHG, Audley Retirement Villages and Hyde Homes – all with unique visions and needs.

A prime example is our installation at High Definition, Media City – a luxury, two-building apartment community in a prime location, giving professionals the opportunity to buy a fantastic new home where they can work and play.

Our main goal was to create an impactful, interactive experience that enabled HD customers to not only visualise the development, but to imagine themselves living there. The interactive needed to enable agents to take customers along a guided sales path that meets their individual needs, with easily personalisable content for the ultimate experiential marketing tool.

We worked with the developers, Latimer, to design and produce an end-to-end, large-format sales solution consisting of four interactive displays, seamlessly providing a single canvas interactive experience. The experience gives users the option to view multiple plots for comparison, visualise the entire development and highlight plots on a lit model in sequence.

The result is as useful as it is gorgeous, improving collaboration and enabling agents to achieve their sales objectives.

Underneath all the clever tech, this interactive presentation had people at its core. It encouraged interaction and communication. It made tasks quicker and people’s lives easier. It removed the limitation of people’s imagination and personalised their experience, helping to guide them to one of life’s most important decisions – and we’re really proud of that.

Winning the Property Tech Company of the Year Award would be much-appreciated recognition of our pioneering history, continued dedication to clients and our drive to research, develop and invest in innovative future products for the property industry – we’re looking forward to seeing how we get on in October!
